Nice work so far.

The only 2-1 system manufacturer I know is Akrapovic, so maybe search for that.

Are you keeping the pattern/dimensions for those headers you're making as I bet you could sell a few sets

I'll take a picture of my 2 into 1 connector for you on Saturday - Trixynuts right, keep a pattern & you'll sell a few of these i reckon mate. All helps with the build costs innit :thumbright:

Thanks for the pics, Fung!

About making these to sell... Because my only tools to fabricate these are a "Toys R Us" Tig welder and a 125mm angle grinder, the process is very , very slow. To get to this point I've spent 10 hours of fabrication so far and it's not half way. To make it easier I'm using the original headers as you can see from the pictures. Anyway, the workshop is not mine :( :(

Whats taking me longer is the junction between the 2 pipes and going to 2" from then on. A Y piece would make the job a LOT easier but I cant find one. Joining the 2 together and continuing with 1 3/4" would also be a LOT easier but not efficient.

A company call Dairy Pipe Lines ( or DPL ) specialise in thin wall stainless steel tube and fittings and will make custom pieces too. A 2-into-1 to 2" outlet should be easy for them .... but they're not cheap. :(
Rubber side down, Red side up is my preferred riding style.

Thanks for all your your inputs, guys!

I'm trying to get this done the cheap as possible, yes, because I'm a tight t...t and because I'm a strong believer in having as many bikes as you can for the lowest amount of money BUT they do have to run... So far I've got 100 quid in this exhaust and that includes the titanium slip-on and the bends.

I've squeezed one of the ends of this 2 1/4" piece of pipe and managed to weld it to the rest of it.

I'm still unsure about wich end can to use

The Akrapovic is a lot lighter and more shaped to fit properly the wide swing arm.Opinions?

DEFINATELY the Akra, personally I love the megaphone shape. That`s about 400 quids worth you have there in one can!

That much...?

If I keep it, I'm going to machine the aluminium bit to a reverse cone. Makes the can look thinner.

Does anyone have an extra radiator they would wish to sell cheap? Come one, support the independent chopper scene

The Akra looks way too modern for me so I would go for the Remus... the shape of the Remus can is more "classic" and in line with the TRX's shapes... basically keeping with the proper 90's bike look.

Sell the Akra can and use the cash to restore the TRX!

Love to do that, infact with the money I would make by selling the WHOLE Akrapovic exhaust system off the MT01(yes, the downpipes are also Titanium) I could by another TRX. The only problem is the fact that the things are not mine, I'd still have to buy it off the guy...

Decisions, decisions...
