Replacement fuel caps
Has anybody had any experience with Chinese caps http://www.ebay.com.au/sch/i.html?_from ... p&_sacat=0 ?
Mine's looking a bit grungy and I'm wondering if I should pay top dollar for a genuine, shiny new one or a clone. Advice appreciated.
Cheers.

Re: Replacement fuel caps
I got one, they are an exact replica of the stock cap. Very good. I recommend them.

You can swap the lock from your existing cap onto the new one so you still only need 1 key. Just be careful as there are a couple of springs and a small ball bearing that can be easily lost if you are not.

Re: Replacement fuel caps
Thanks dude, I was also not too keen on having extra keys. Good to know you can swap the lock.

Re: Replacement fuel caps
I bought one a few years ago, looks the part but never quite closed properly. Had to push hard on it to get it to close.
Got one of these now, and no keys at all!

Havent bolted it on, just sitting there and looks shit hot. Bike in pieces at mo getting a chop and change so not sure how well it'll function in the real world

Re: Replacement fuel caps
I had to drill the breather hole a little larger on mine because when bolted up it would seal and about 100km into a full tank . It began to spit n fart till I unscrewed the cap and all good to get me home..

Re: Replacement fuel caps
On the keyless billet.
I have an idea Alex may have suffered the same fate at some time with his Trx too. But I got it to function properly after a little stress and modification.
Bit like buying a maccas burger and finding the meat paddy still uncooked.
